Blurb

When Prince Duncan Caldwell loses his way home and knocks on a stranger’s door, looking to find shelter, he doesn’t know his life is about to change forever. Not because he can’t tear his gaze away from the beautiful woman who opens that door, but more so because she’s a stranger yet he can’t shake the feeling she belongs to him. And discovering she’s been banned from his home can’t stop the vortex of his feelings nor the truth of his world from crashing down on him.

This is just the beginning of the Virtus Saga, where nothing is as it seems. Not the world, since its all-pervading sex drive hides a scary lack of violence. Not the people, since soul mates Prince Duncan Caldwell and Lord Christopher Templeton share a love that is unrivaled until that fateful knock on Ylianor Meyer’s dilapidated shack.

This book starts the love and the passion that entwines fiery sex into this intricate three-way relationship. It’s a unique connection, laced with jealousy and violence that are unknown to their world. This is not just another erotic dark fantasy series. This is the making of a trio. Of three remarkable characters that must overcome their uncontrollable lust to face the truth about themselves and their planet if they want to defeat the darkness about to devour them. To be as one whilst three! To share power and love in equal measures. This is their real challenge, the lesson they must learn. Otherwise, how will their world survive?

Excerpt

Damn the music! Damn the lights! They blocked out the agonized cries and the ghoulish images. No, worse, they lessened the intensity of a pleasure that was as blissful as sex, if not more. This was the real source of my power. And since it grew proportionally to the amount of pain and violence inflicted, I rebelled and stepped up everything despite all the attempts to stop me.

At the persisting escalation in violence, he decided to call on serious help. Someone reliable who could get him out of the rut he had dug himself into, someone who would be willing to take the load off his shoulders and cleanse the evil he could no longer get rid of by himself.

No way would I allow it! I had to seize control, if I wanted to survive and to contrast all his plans to eradicate evil from my world. The very evil I thrived on and that was the source of my empowerment.
The source of the negative buildup, too. Somehow, in spite of the sounds and lights, the rush of violence increased as did this new power. As great as this dark side was, it would soon become unmanageable, which made him all the gladder he had called the right person for the job.

The only right person was her. She was mine, crafted in such a way that she belonged to me alone. And her pretending to ignore me just made me more determined to get her. That was when I decided I had to leave.
Good thing he was not free to go anywhere. He was a prisoner of the lights and sounds he had thought to control. Ha! He was a fool to think for even one moment that he could escape this trap! And an even bigger fool if he believed he had any power over the mysterious forces surrounding them!

The irony of it all crashed on me, and I could not contain my rage! Lashing out, it shook my prison’s very foundation as I attempted to destroy it. And my failure only made me more furious with my human captors. They were the ones responsible for keeping me here against my will, so they would pay for it. All humans would pay for it! And no better way I could devise than throwing back at them my most horrendous visions. But no amount of body parts carelessly scattered like pieces of a broken doll, or of dismembered corpses that sputtered fresh blood from the severed limbs did the trick. The more I wanted to escape, the more the lights, sounds and humans closed in on me.
Alas, it was not long before he realized he needed an ally to escape. No, not someone, a woman. And that was when the real trouble started.

However little I cared for humans, for purely sadistic motives as far as I could tell, I needed one now. Of course, it had to be a woman. Unlike their expendable male counterparts, they linked better to higher beings such as me. Many came my way to ask for the greatest Virt of all. The one I alone could grant—the one to reproduce life. So I found one in their midst, the one with the analytical intelligence necessary to set up the connection that would free me. Mostly the one with the logical twists and turns I could penetrate, losing myself in those tortuous folds. When she left my presence, I was with her, tucked inside her brilliant mind. That was how I became one with her and convinced her of the necessity to free also my body.
With her return, trouble came knocking at his door. For she wanted to take away something he did not intend to relinquish. Not to her, not to anyone. He was just too precious, so he would detain him, forcibly if necessary. And force was exactly what he had to use against her Virt and that of a helper. Together, they fought to sever the hold on him, until with one brutal blow she shattered the work of lifetimes. And things were never the same again.
